Despite having to rise at 5:30 a.m., which isn’t my finest hour by a long shot, it was well worth it to have the privilege of exhibiting at the beautiful and historic Queen Mary for the 2025 TiE Global Angel Investor Summit.
The TiE group, which is global, stands for The Indus Entrepreneur, and their SoCal chapter has been phenomenal. Last year, they participated in their Women’s Global Pitch Competition, with a $50,000 non-dilutive funding grand prize and a trip to India. They also hosted a viewing of the “Show Her the Money” movie at the Neuehouse Theater in Hollywood Fall 2024. It was the first time I’d seen the movie and I took ten pages of notes – in the dark!!!
At the TiE Global Angel Investor Summit 2025, I met many investors and some media, one of whom followed up with me months later and offered me a segment on a TV show he is producing for the Los Angeles area.
After the day long conference, we relaxed with a social hour, then I was invited to join the group for Thai food at a local Long Beach restaurant. It was a long, but exhilarating day filled with new friends and old, and a ton of memories made along the way.
